Could Fungus/Yeast be
Your Problem
Fungal Assessment - A
Symptom Questionnaire
The following questionnaire is designed to aid you in measuring how
much you have been exposed to fungi and their mycotoxins. Physicians may
also use this questionnaire to assess their patients’ histories.
Because the degree of exposure varies from incident to incident, and
because consumption of natural, antifungal nutrients can often
neutralize a portion of such exposure, we are unable to provide a
meaningful index to which you might map your final score.
Natural Anti-Fungals
The
first concern surrounds the prevention and elimination of pathogenic
fungi in our bodies.
Anti-fungals, therefore – especially natural anti-fungals – are our
most important supplement category. It may be surprising to know that
virtually all vitamins, minerals, amino acids, etc., have a certain
amount of anti-fungal activity. This means that a nutrient-rich
diet, such as the Phase One Diet, will be the most important part of a complete anti-fungal
program.
In
general, anti-fungal supplements fall into the following categories:
1).
Nutritives that directly kill, (fungicidal), or stop the growth of
fungi, (fungistatic). These include supplements such as oregano oil,
olive leaf extract, caprylic acid, d-limonene, biotin, garlic,
undecylenic acid, pau d’arco, cat’s claw, black walnut, and many,
many others.
2). Nutritives that prevent the absorption of fungal poisons,
known as “mycotoxins”. Anti-mycotoxin supplements include psyllium,
activated charcoal, bentonite clay, zeolites, N-acetyl cysteine,
chlorophyll, and glucomannan.
3). Nutritives that modulate and/or nourish the immune system so
as to increase the body’s natural defenses. These include beta glucans,
AHCC, colostrum and concentrated components of colostrum such as
lactoferrin.
4).
Concentrated antioxidants and various plant phytonutrients, such as
trans-resveratrol, lutein, astaxanthin and many others are also known to
be active against fungal growth, as are general foundational
concentrates such as aloe vera and fish oil.
5).
Some anti-fungals, such as tea tree oil, are not to be taken by mouth,
but are excellent for topical applications

Five Things You can Do
to Guard Against Alzheimer's
A study led by Dr. Patricia Boyle of Rush University Center in Chicago
has concluded that people with greater life purpose maintained cognitive
ability better than those who weren't leading a purposeful life.
Dr. Boyle and her team wanted to establish a strategy for avoiding
Alzheimer's consequences rather than attempting to find a way of keeping
brain plaques and tangles from accumulating.
