Acetyl-l-carnitine
increases nerve regeneration
Acetyl-l-carnitine
(ALCAR) has been used as a mood, memory, and fat-burning nutrient.
There is a study that shows acetyl-l-carnitine helps the
re-establishment of connections between nerves and organs.
Nerve
cells do not split and divide and make new nerve cells. Injured nerves
must heal. This can a lengthy process. The body needs specific
nutrients to do this (mostly B vitamins).
This
study shows that ALCAR increases the body's ability to regenerate
myelin sheathing of nerves, produce new nerve fibers, and improve the
function of important nerve connections to organs.
Here
is the study which shows this this Nerve
Regeneration study.
Acetyl-l-carnitine teamed up with Alpha Lipoic Acid is best.
While Acetyl-l-carnitine is helping the cells create energy, a lot of
free radicals are formed. Alpha Lipoic Acid is an
anti-oxidant that eats up those free radicals so they don't cause any
damage to other cells.

The
Truth about Neuropathy & Vitamins
All
you have to do is search on the internet for vitamins to take for
neuropathy and pages of articles come up regarding what natural method
you can use to improve or relieve the neuropathy symptoms. Of course,
they are all different. Some of them are similar, but not one agrees
on what you should take.
So how to you wade through the confusion of it all and figure out what
to take.
Okay,
here are the things you need to know.
- Neuropathy is nerve damage. The nerve tissue is damaged.
- The body will repair itself
- The body uses vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential
fatty acids in its daily task of energy production and repair. If
it doesn’t get these tools, it can’t repair damaged tissue.
- Thus, what does the body need to repair the nerve tissue?
Well,
we know we can rule out the use of herbs. Herbs are medications. They
force the body to do something it normally wouldn’t do, just like
drugs. However, they are superior to drugs as they are natural not
made in a laboratory.
When
using herbs you do need to know who is creating the herbal remedies as
quality of the herb and manufacture of the herbal remedy can vary. But
simply put, the body doesn’t use herbs to repair itself.
A
lot of articles written by medical doctors and medical professionals
will only talk about using vitamins when the cause of the neuropathy
was a deficiency of B12.
But
the simplicity is that the body uses amino acids, vitamins, minerals
and essential fatty acids to repair damaged tissue.
So
what vitamins are actually needed for nerve repair?
B1
– Vitamin B1 functions along with other B vitamins to turn nutrients
into energy, normal heart functions, formation of blood, HCL in the
stomach for digestion, and proper functioning of muscles, Vitamin B1
supports the normal function of the nervous system. It is required for
nerves to function correctly, and helps in the maintenance of healthy
nerves. It is required for regulating the transmission of particular
types of nerve signals along the brain and the spinal cord.
B12
–Vitamin B-12 is necessary in human health for the formation of
proteins and red blood cells, and for the functioning of the nervous
system. It is vitally important in maintaining the health of the outer
sheathing (protective covering, also called the myelin sheath) that
surrounds nerve cells.
B2
- Vitamin B2 riboflavin helps produce red blood cells and protects the
nervous system.
B6
- Vitamin B6 helps in the production of neurotransmitters, the
chemicals that allow brain and nerve cells to communicate with one
another, ensuring that metabolic processes such as fat and protein
metabolism run smoothly, Vitamin B6 helps the body make several
neurotransmitters, chemicals that carry signals from one nerve cell to
another.
Folic
Acid - Vitamin-B12 and folic-acid work together. Folic acid is needed
to activate B12. Both vitamins together help nerves to function
properly.
D3
induces nerve growth factor production in the human body.
Together
these vitamins give the body what it needs to repair the damaged
nerves which is called Neuropathy.
There
is one vitamin formula that does have all of these together. You can
read about it here

Is Preventive Surgery heroic?
Actor
Brad Pitt called the decision by his partner, Angelina Jolie, to have
a preventative double mastectomy "heroic."
Jessica Bowen underwent chemo and
a mastectomy and still had cancer cells in her body.
Jessica changed her diet and the cancer
was reversed.
She's a hero.
Jessica
Bowen was diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 breast cancer at the age
of 29. She had surgery and chemotherapy and still had cancer in her
body. She was told she'd need to go through chemotherapy again, and
then she discovered that there was another way.
Jessica regained her life through the McDougall Program.
Jessica's story is an inspiration.

Vitamin
B-12 is necessary in human health for the formation of proteins
and red blood cells, and for the functioning of the nervous
system. It is vitally important in maintaining the health of the
outer sheathing (protective covering, also called the myelin
sheath) that surrounds nerve cells.
B-12 also participates in a variety of cellular reactions to
release energy from carbohydrates, fats and proteins.
Vitamin B-12 is found only in animal products; meat, fish, eggs,
and dairy products. Most people's diets do not contain sufficient
B-12, and so, over the years, the amount of B-12 diminishes in the
body till there is an actual deficiency of this important vitamin.
Absorption of vitamin B-12 from food occurs in a unique way.
Vitamin B-12 is released from food by digestion, especially by
stomach acid. The vitamin B-12 binds with a special protein that
is secreted by the mucous membrane of the stomach called the
"intrinsic factor."
The resulting complex travels to the last section of the small
intestine, called the ileum. Ileum cells then absorb vitamin B-12.
Absorption is very poor unless the "intrinsic factor" is
present.
As the body ages it often produces lower quantities of both
stomach acid and the "intrinsic factor," thus reducing
the amount of B-12 that can be absorbed from the diet.
The vitamins and minerals in food are constantly being used to
create and support the life processes in the body and must be
replenished.
Because the body's reserves of B-12 continues to drop as our body
ages, doctors often recommend B-12 shots each month for older
people.
As most people don't like shots, they often supplement what they
need with vitamin pills, capsules, drinks, etc. Most of these
contain a form of B-12 called cyanocobalamin, which is the form
not usable by the body.
A very small percentage of cyanocobalamin is converted into
methylcobalamin and stored in the liver. As the body ages, it
becomes less and less able to convert cyanocobalamin to
methylcobalamin. Thus, you want to take methycobalomin for
real results you can feel.
There is no upper limit to the amount of B-12 that you can safely
take without any side effects. The WSN Nerve Support Formula
