Service Alert – Avoid Holiday Shipping Delays
(this alert came from RHP, but no matter what supplements you order online, it is good to know)
Have you heard, USPS mail delivery is now slower and more expensive?
According to USA Today the post office has implemented new service standards that started on Friday, October 1st. These changes affect First Class packages traveling more than 300 miles from the origin (RHP products are shipped from Memphis, Tennessee).
These packages, which had been going by air, will now be going by ground to save the post office money. This, of course, will slow delivery quite a bit on packages traveling outside of Tennessee, probably adding several days or longer.
Additionally. all carriers will be temporarily increasing their rates because of the holiday season from October 3rd to December 26th.
During the holiday season in 2020, we ran into significant shipping delays. While we certainly don't want you to experience shipping delays, we want to try and prepare you for them.
The best way we can help you is to let you know so you can take the necessary steps to ensure your supply of the products you take is not interrupted.
We suggest that you get an extra bottle (or bottles) of the products you take, so that you are covered for any delays in shipping and do not end up running out of your supplements.
If you want a better explanation of what is happening with the post office you can read about it here: USA Today - USPS Service Change https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/09/28/usps-delivery-get-slower-more-expensive-during-holidays/5893001001/

Can a Natural Superfood Help Those Affected by the High Cost of Insulin?
In an article from the Mayo Clinic, "High cost of insulin has life-or-death implications for diabetic patients", Jay Furst says, "The most commonly used forms of insulin cost 10 times more in the U.S. than in any other developed country, according to a commentary in Mayo Clinic Proceedings. This prohibitive cost is causing some U.S. patients with Type 1 diabetes to ration the amount of insulin they use, with life-threatening implications.
"The commentary by S. Vincent Rajkumar, M.D., a Mayo Clinic physician, describes the cost of insulin as an urgent public health issue. "There are 30 million patients with diabetes in the United States, and about 25%, or 7.4 million Americans, need insulin. For the 1.3 million patients with Type 1 diabetes, insulin is as vital as air and water. Some patients are rationing insulin or switching to cheaper forms without proper supervision."
Two Types of Diabetes
Diabetes is a condition where your blood glucose, or blood sugar, levels are too high. Diabetes is described as type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The main difference between the two types of diabetes is that type 1 diabetes is a genetic disorder that often shows up early in life, and type 2 is largely diet-related and develops over time. If you have type 1 diabetes, your immune system is attacking and destroying the insulin-producing cells in your pancreas.
Insulin is a hormone that helps glucose get into your cells to give them energy. Insulin is used by type 1 and some type 2 diabetics to normalize their blood sugar levels.
Did you know there’s a natural superfood that has 52 micro units/ml of insulin-like protein?
Camel milk has the potential to provide support for people wanting to maintain normal blood sugar levels.
In fact, camel milk contains approximately 52 micro unit/ml of insulin-like protein compared to cow milk (16.32 micro unit/ml). (1) It has been suggested that drinking at least 500 ml of camel milk daily can help support blood glucose management by having a positive effect in reducing blood glucose levels and insulin utilization.
A unique feature of camel milk is that its insulin-like protein is protected in the stomach and absorbed efficiently into the blood stream. This is because camel milk does not coagulate in the acidic environment of the stomach and has a high buffering capacity (ability to resist pH change.)
Some research suggests that the insulin-like protein in camel milk has the ability to resist proteolytic (breakdown of proteins) digestion, which makes its absorption into circulation fast because it’s encapsulated in nano particles.
Camel milk is available in different forms - raw, pasteurized and pasteurized powder.
Flash pasteurized camel milk powder has all of the benefits of camel milk without the risks and short shelf life.
Camelicious camel milk powder comes from grass-fed camels and provides all the nutritional benefits of real dairy without the digestive issues that are so often associated with drinking cow's milk. Camelicious is flash pasteurized, gluten free and doesn't contain antibiotics or added hormones.
Camel milk is a light milk which can be consumed as milk, added to a smoothie, or used in cooking and baking. Camelicious camel milk powder in single serving sachets is a convenient way to enjoy camel milk every day and potentially support normal blood sugar levels.
