How Beta Glucan can Protect You
With winter approaching, it’s time to be proactive about boosting immunity to protect you and your family from illness and disease.
We all spend more time indoors during the colder months and that sets up a situation where infections can more easily spread among family members.
Now’s the time to take action to help keep your family well during the winter months.
Why Extra Immune Support is Needed
Almost everyone needs extra immune support because almost everyone today has a weakened immune system. This is a result of things that most of us experience every day, and which continually compromise the human immune system – stress, sugar, fatigue, toxins, and germs and viruses.
Did you know that when you consume sugar in any form it compromised your immune system for 6 hours? As sugar is in almost everything we consume, for most of us our immune system is only functioning properly for a few hours in early in the morning. This is not enough to keep us protected from the harmful substances in the environment, and the illness and disease they cause.
Basically, everyone should be concerned about supporting their immune system and raising its ability to fight off foreign “invaders.”
What is Beta-glucan?
Beta-glucan is a form of soluble dietary fiber that’s strongly linked to improving immunity.
Beta-glucans form a natural component of the cell walls of bacteria, fungi, cereals such as oat and barley, and baker’s yeast.
Beta-glucans from the cell walls of baker’s yeast have shown to be the most effective form of beta-glucans to boost immunity and help protect against illness and disease.
Over 1,600 scientific studies from institutions, including Harvard Medical School, show the positive health benefits of beta-glucans. Many of these studies can be found on PubMed.gov
The 2 Parts of the Immune System
The immune system is the body’s defense system. It is made up of a network of cells, tissues and organs that all work together to protect us against pathogens (disease-causing microorganisms, such as viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi.) Pathogens cause infection when they enter the body and begin to multiply. Disease occurs when your body’s cells are damaged because of the infection. Then the symptoms of illness occur.
The Innate Immune System
The innate (inborn, natural) immune system is our body’s first line of defense against pathogens. It protects against all pathogens.
The Adaptive Immune System
The adaptive immune system is the body’s second line of defense against pathogens. It adapts to a specific threat and can directly target a specific pathogen.
Benefits of Beta-Glucans
The health benefits of beta-glucans include:
- Supporting the innate immune system, the body’s first line of defense against illness and disease
- Providing antioxidant properties to fight against free radical damage to cells and tissues.
- Free radicals are unstable molecules in the body and can cause large chain chemical reactions in the body because they react so easily with other molecules.
When there are more free radicals present than can be kept in balance by antioxidants, the free radicals can start doing damage to fatty tissue, DNA, and proteins in your body. Proteins, lipids, and DNA make up a large part of the body, so that damage can lead to a vast number of diseases over time, including neurodegenerative diseases and inflammatory diseases.
Reducing inflammation in cells and body tissues.
The good news is that beta-glucans are available in supplement form so you can consume concentrated beta-glucans to support your immune system.
Why Qgenics’ Beta-Glucans Formula is Different
We developed Immune Defense to provide maximum effectiveness by basing the formulation on research that showed the quantity of beta-glucans needed to achieve a good result.
Immune Defense contains 1,953 mg of beta-glucans, which is 2 times more beta-glucans that most other brands.
Many other products seem to “sprinkle” enough beta-glucans into their products to be able to make the claims, but they are not necessarily well-balanced and effective products.
Immune Defense is made up of 70% pure 1,3 &1,6 beta-glucans derived from the cell wall of baker’s yeast. 70% purity is the maximum that can be reasonably used to avoid over stimulating the immune system, which results in health problems.
We source high quality ingredients and never buy anything from China or India.
As an added bonus, we include natural CFA (Cetylated Fatty Acids) in our formula because this increases absorption by 3.4 times and helps achieve maximum utilization of the beta-glucans at the cellular level.
There’s a total of 2,043mg (1,953 mg of beta-glucans, and the balance is CFA) in the Immune Defense formula. The odd number of milligrams is due to us ensuring the ingredients in the formula are properly balanced for maximum effectiveness.
Get the extra immune system protection you and your family need by using the potent beta-glucans formulation, Immune Defense.

Natural Alternatives to Synthetic Products - Medications are designed by Nature, by Dr. Eric Berg
Did you know that most medications originate from nature?
70% of all drugs created or discovered in the last 25 years were derived from natural products. When it comes to the difference between natural and synthetic products, it’s important to understand this distinction.
Natural chemicals have complex chemistry, making it more difficult for them to bind to receptors and cause side effects. Synthetic chemicals have simple chemistry, making it easier for them to bind to receptors and cause side effects. Find out some natural alternatives to common synthetics by watching my video

Common Nutrient Deficiencies Caused by Drugs that You Should Know About
Did you know that many common drugs actually cause nutrient deficiencies? Most of these issues aren’t listed on the labels, and doctors often don’t tell you about this! When you take these common drugs, you create another issue that’s treated with, you guessed it: another drug. Educational Video

Chronic Inflammation Leading to Neuropathy (Nerve Damage)
How it happens and what can be done for relief.
Acute inflammation which happens when we bruise an ankle, or fall and hurt a knee or arm, etc. etc. usually involves pain and is short lived.
Chronic inflammation can last for weeks or even years. There are many reasons for this.
Food sensitivities cause chronic inflammation. Food intolerance as opposed to food allergy doesn’t cause an immediate reaction in your body. Instead, it creates low-grade chronic inflammation for years. Often a person with food intolerance is not unaware of this situation and continues to eat the foods that are giving those headaches, fatigue or joint pain, and compromises their immune system.
Another cause of chronic inflammation is insulin spikes (too much sugar and carbohydrates). When a person with a poor diet continues to consume the same diet, it creates chronic inflammation.
Toxins from what you ingest or breathe or chemicals you use for cleaning can cause chronic inflammation.
Chronic inflammation can come from various diseases.
Whatever the cause, chronic inflammation can lead to the progressive destruction of connective tissue, making nerve fibers more vulnerable to compression injuries and infections.
Joints can become inflamed and swollen and entrap nerves, causing damages and pain.
Some neuropathies are caused by inflammation resulting from immune system activities rather than from direct damage by infectious organisms.
These types of neuropathies can develop quickly or slowly, and chronic forms can exhibit a pattern of alternating remission and relapse.
Guillain-Barré syndrome, can damage motor, sensory, and autonomic nerve fibers. Most people recover from this syndrome although severe cases can be life threatening. A side effect of this disease is neuropathy.
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) usually damages sensory and motor nerves, leaving autonomic nerves intact.
Multifocal motor neuropathy is a form of neuropathy that affects motor nerves exclusively; it may be chronic or acute.
Lyme Disease is an acute inflammatory condition that will cause nerve damage.
There are many causes of inflammation which result in nerve damage.

What Does Vitamin C Do for Your Nerves?
IMPORTANT - FOR A SHORT TIME ONLY: Save over 6 dollars on your next bottle of Vitamin C!
Sorbitol (a form of sugar) travels to certain parts of the body where it builds up. These parts of the body are the lens of the eye where it forms a white milky film called cataracts, and the sciatic nerve (the big nerve that runs down your leg) where it can cause nerve damage (nerve pain).
Evidence indicates that taking 2,000 mg a day of vitamin C may reduce the production of sorbitol and help strip sorbitol out of the body.
Camu camu is one of the highest known sources of natural vitamin C. Research indicates camu camu contains up to 56 times more vitamin C than a lemon and 50 times more vitamin C than an orange.
Most Camu Camu sold on the market today is sold as camu camu powder in bags, or in capsules or tablets. 20 percent of camu camu powder is actual vitamin C.
If you have 500 mg of camu camu powder in a capsule - you are only getting 100 mg of Vitamin C.
If there are 60 capsules in a bottle, then the total amount of Vitamin C you would get in that bottle is 6,000 mg.
Often these bottles are sold at around eighteen to twenty dollars a bottle.
RHP Vitamins C is different.
Each of it's camu camu vitamin C tablets contains 200 mg of actual vitamin C. Each tablet contains 1,000mg of camu camu powder.
The RHP bottle has 120 tablets. The total amount of vitamin C you get in our bottle is 24,000 mg.
A bottle of RHP Vitamin C from Camu Camu is normally 32.20 - Right now it is only 25.76 a bottle!
This is far more than twice the amount of Vitamin C, at more than half the cost!
(And, if RHP kept the price in line with what others are charging on the market - the RHP Vitamin C from Camu Camu should cost 72.00 a bottle!)
