Risks for Alzheimer's & Dementia by Dr. Mercola
- Three dietary components shown to promote dementia and Alzheimer’s disease are sugar (especially processed fructose), grains and trans fats
- Research published in the October 2019 issue of Neurology found a strong link between trans fat consumption and incidence of dementia and its various subtypes, including Alzheimer’s disease
- People in the highest quartile of trans fat levels were 74% more likely to develop dementia. Those in the second-highest quartile had a 52% higher risk
- Diets rich in carbohydrates are associated with an 89% increased risk for dementia while diets high in healthy fats are associated with a 44% reduced risk
- Up to half of all Alzheimer’s cases could also be prevented by addressing other modifiable lifestyle contributors such as physical inactivity, depression, smoking, high blood pressure, midlife obesity and diabetes

The Effects of Soda and Low-nutrient Foods on Children's Behavior by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D.
The standard American diet, chock full of soda and other sugary drinks, fast foods, and other low-nutrient foods, can have a major impact on the health and lives of our children. Rising rates of childhood obesity driven by this way of eating have received much attention; however, low-nutrient foods are still having negative effects on the physical and mental health of children who are not overweight. Children are not immune to the damaging health effects of the standard American diet, which can set them up for a lifetime of poor health ranging from heart disease to behavior problems and lower cognitive performance.

British Medical Journal Study on Reversing Tooth Decay
There is a common belief today about cavities that once you have tooth decay, that cavity can NOT be reversed or healed. Then the only solution is to have part of your tooth drilled out and filled with a synthetic material.
But according to a study published in the British Medical Journal cavities and tooth decay could potentially be healed or reversed with diet.Read more: Reversing Tooth Decay

E Cigarette (Vaping) Deaths and Resulting Bans - Exploring the Controversy
All you have to do to get the public in an uproar about something is to talk about how dangerous that thing is for young people. And that’s perfectly understandable. We are inherently inclined to protect our young. When it becomes evident that something is potentially dangerous to our youth, millions of parents across the country rise up and demand change.
We see this now in the recent news of several deaths linked to vaping and the use of e-cigarettes. This development has caused an uproar in the United States, causing a few states and even the federal government to consider banning electronic cigarettes and vaping paraphernalia.
I’m all for the nation taking action to protect the health of its citizenry. But it is a little more than suspicious that state and federal-level governments are taking such decisive action against e-cigarettes when we still have a pharmaceutical drug addiction epidemic that kills thousands of people every year. Why are so much attention and effort being taken against the e-cigarette industry while the pharmaceutical industry is still allowed to create such harmful and addictive drugs?

Tired of Being Medicated? Build Healthy Nerves
So many people have nerve damage, neuropathy and a host of other nerve problems which are painful and lower the quality of one's life. What is the common solution? There are many medications on the market that attempt to cover up the symptoms. In the past, I have seen commercials for Neuropathy medications on TV.
I've also heard from many people regarding the side effects of this particular drug and in fact had to work with someone who had a lot of trouble getting off the drug (she was taking if for another reason) - the side effects of withdrawal for this person was as bad as the side effects of taking the drug.
Any kind of nerve problems indicates that the nerves are unhealthy. Giving the body the nutrients (vitamins) it needs to build health nerves seems is a long term solution. Yes, it doesn't cover up the symptoms of some of these health problems and it takes a bit of time, but in the long run, the nerves are healthy. Healthy nerves don't burn, aren't numb, don't tingle, aren't painful, don't feel cold or hot when no reason to do so. Healthy nerves don't make you lose your balanced or coordination.
