Benefits of Camel Milk for a Leaky Gut
What is a Leaky Gut?

From the scientific research and studies regarding the connection between gut health and overall health, scientists are beginning to understand the vital role the gut plays in good health.

Studies have already discovered fascinating links between gut health and weight control, thyroid function, mood, and cognition - just to name a few health issues.

In addition, researchers are exploring links between gut health and autism, diabetes, and depression, as well as many other diseases that may be connected with the state of our gut.

In ancient times, doctors believed that particular ailments originated from imbalances in the stomach. This idea was discarded in later years by the medical profession, but it now appears the ancient doctors were onto something.

The term “leaky gut” has gained more attention in recent years, and an understanding of leaky gut, and how it can affect the body, is opening a door to solutions for improved gut and overall health.

WHAT IS LEAKY GUT SYNDROME?

The gut barrier’s job is to make sure nutrients are allowed into the blood stream, while passing the harmful bacteria and toxins through the body without harming you.

When the gut barrier becomes too permeable (allowing too many substances to pass through too easily), it becomes “leaky gut syndrome”. Large protein molecules and toxins pass into the blood stream when they are not meant to. When your body finds these substances in places they are not meant to be, it attacks them, triggering an immune response.

SIGNS YOU HAVE A LEAKY GUT

A leaky gut can lead to digestive nightmares such as bloating, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, food allergies, and even more serious autoimmune problems.

Autoimmune disease occurs because the body’s natural defenses — the immune system — attack the body’s own healthy tissue on an ongoing basis. Several recent clinical studies identified that the function of the intestinal barrier is a major factor in autoimmune diseases.

WHAT CAUSES A LEAKY GUT?

We are all born with a leaky gut (literally an open, permeable gut lining). As we consume our mother’s nursing milk, which is rich in colostrum and contains many growth factors and immune factors, these substances pass into the bloodstream and form our immune system and develop a healthy internal environment. Once this happens, the gut is meant to naturally close, allowing the bacteria to adhere to the gut lining, which develops a healthy mucous thanks to the colostrum.

In the world today there are millions of people who lack the good bacteria needed to properly absorb nutrition from food and also keep out bad bacteria. They no longer have the ability to detoxify and maintain cleanliness of the blood. All the while, the undiagnosed, chronic lack of good bacteria and compromised gut health remains untreated.

It is now clear that the state of our gut lining and gut microbiota (microorganisms) is a direct window into our overall health. Numerous factors can negatively affect the lining and gut microbiota, including diet, stress, antibiotics, and advancing age. When the lining is too permeable, and the gut microbiota is out of balance, it plays a role in the development of non-optimum health conditions.

HOW MANY MICROORGANISMS ARE IN OUR GUT?

If you thought the answer is one hundred million you are not even close. Try 100 trillion. This enormous, complex ecosystem contains over 1,000 different species of bacteria.

UNHEALTHY GUT BACTERIA CREATES AN UNHEALTHY GUT

Underlying an unhealthy gut is unhealthy gut bacteria, due to:

- The types of bacteria present in our gut
- The populations of those bacteria
- The ratios between each bacterium
- A permeable gut lining that is not keeping unhealthy bacteria and toxins out of the body.

These variables are closely related, so if a person has issues with one, most likely they will have issues with the others as well.

Most people assume that “gut problems” must mean “digestive problems.” Sometimes, that is the case. But in reality, the problem is broader than that.

The evidence clearly indicates that, even if you do not have serious digestive problems, you could still have an unhealthy gut microbiome (the ecosystem of bacteria in the gut).

Healing the gut is something we all need to consider if we want to experience good health, so doesn’t it make sense that if we introduce a source of good bacteria and nutrients into our body, we will experience improvement in our health?

CAMEL MILK CONTAINS PROBIOTICS TO SUPPORT A HEALTHY GUT MICROBIOME

Camel milk is recognized as a superfood that contains over 120 strains of lactic acid bacteria and has peptides and proteins that exhibit biological activities that have a beneficial effect on many bioprocesses such as digestion, absorption, growth and immunity.

Camel milk has been used for thousands of years as a drink to support good health, and has been clinically proven to improve bacterial imbalances. Some bacteria such as Allobaculum, Akkermansia and Bifidobacterium increase in abundance with camel milk.

Camel milk contains prebiotics in the form of oligosaccharides (1). Prebiotics play a key role in feeding healthy bacteria and supporting their growth in the digestive system, resulting in improved health. Oligosaccharides promote the growth of healthy bacteria while inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in the colon.

Camel milk also contains several probiotics that may make the gut healthy, like Enterococcus durans, Lactobacillus casei, Enterococcus lactis, Pediococcus pentosaceus, Lactobacillus lactis, and Lactobacillus pentosus (2). It has been proven that E. lactis can stop the growth of certain hazardous bacteria. L. pentosus may prevent infection by inhibiting Helicobacter pylori and aid better gut health (3).

With camel milk as part of your daily diet, there's the potential for better gut health which can positively impact your overall health.

The Truth about Neuropathy & Vitamins

All you have to do is search on the internet for vitamins to take for neuropathy and pages of articles come up regarding what natural method you can use to improve or relieve the neuropathy symptoms. Of course, they are all different. Some of them are similar, but not one agrees on what you should take.

So how to you wade through the confusion of it all and figure out what to take.

Okay, here are the things you need to know.

Neuropathy is nerve damage. The nerve tissue is damaged.

We always recommend you take the approach of building health – and nerves are no different. The body can build healthy nerves.

The body uses vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and essential fatty acids in its daily task of energy production and replacing worn cells If it doesn’t get these tools, it can’t build health. And it can’t build healthy nerves.

What does the body need to build healthy nerve tissue? *

Well, we know we can rule out the use of herbs. Herbs are medications. They force the body to do something it normally wouldn’t do, just like drugs. However, they are superior to drugs as they are natural not made in a laboratory.

When using herbs you do need to know who is creating the herbal remedies as quality of the herb and manufacture of the herbal remedy can vary. But simply put, the body doesn’t use herbs to repair itself.

A lot of articles written by medical doctors and medical professionals will only talk about using vitamins when the cause of the neuropathy was a deficiency of B12.

But the simplicity is that the body uses amino acids, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids to build healthy tissue.

So what vitamins are actually needed for to build healthy nerves?

B1 – Vitamin B1 functions along with other B vitamins to turn nutrients into energy, normal heart functions, formation of blood, HCL in the stomach for digestion, and proper functioning of muscles, Vitamin B1 supports the normal function of the nervous system. It is required for nerves to function correctly, and helps in the maintenance of healthy nerves. It is required for regulating the transmission of particular types of nerve signals along the brain and the spinal cord.

B12 –Vitamin B-12 is necessary in human health for the formation of proteins and red blood cells, and for the functioning of the nervous system. It is vitally important in maintaining the health of the outer sheathing (protective covering, also called the myelin sheath) that surrounds nerve cells.

B2 – Vitamin B2 riboflavin helps produce red blood cells and protects the nervous system.

B6 – Vitamin B6 helps in the production of neurotransmitters, the chemicals that allow brain and nerve cells to communicate with one another, ensuring that metabolic processes such as fat and protein metabolism run smoothly, Vitamin B6 helps the body make several neurotransmitters, chemicals that carry signals from one nerve cell to another.

Folate (B9) – Vitamin-B12 and folic-acid work together. Folic acid is needed to activate B12. Both vitamins together help nerves to function properly.

D3 induces nerve growth factor production in the human body.

Together these vitamins give the body what it needs to get relief for neuropathy. You need to find a vitamin formula that has ALL the necessary ingredients.

Where can I get the vitamins the body needs to build healthy nerves?

The Best Strategy Against Cancer, by Dr. Eric Berg

As you may know, this month is National Cancer Prevention Awareness Month. At Dr. Berg, we believe that knowledge is power when fighting against cancer—that's why we have created a comprehensive blog talking about "Your Best Strategy Against Cancer."

In this blog, you'll discover the latest research on cancer prevention and learn about the most effective strategies for reducing your risk of cancer. From diet and exercise to supplements and lifestyle changes, we cover it all.

But that's not all. We also share personal stories from individuals who have successfully battled cancer using these strategies. These stories are not only inspiring but also serve as a reminder that you can take control of your health.

So, if you or a loved one is concerned about cancer or are simply looking for ways to improve your overall health....

It’s important to understand the differences between normal cells and cancer cells:

• Cancer cells originate from normal cells.
• Damage to the mitochondria is what starts the process of a normal cell turning into a cancer cell.
• Sugar provides the most fuel for a cancer cell.
• Normal cells die, but cancer cells can live forever.
• Cancer cells grow faster than normal cells.

Mechanisms of fasting for cancer:

Mechanism #1 — Fasting helps starve off the fuel (glucose) to the cancer cell.
Mechanism #2 — Certain cancers can live on glutamine and arginine, which are amino acids. When you fast, you deprive the cancer cell of those types of fuel.
Mechanism #3 — Autophagy may help shrink tumors and inhibit cancer development. The biggest thing that triggers autophagy is fasting.
Mechanism #4 — Your immune system is a key factor in preventing cancer and killing cancer. Fasting boosts your immune system and can help regrow a damaged immune system.
Mechanism #5 — Fasting decreases certain hormones that may increase the risk of cancer, such as: • IGF-1 (this hormone is only a problem if you have cancer)
• Insulin
• Estrogen
Mechanism #6 — Decreasing inflammation helps decrease the risk of cancer. Fasting can help reduce inflammation.
Mechanism #7 — Ketones can provide cancer cells with the cellular membrane structure they need.

However, we are currently researching different solutions for this dilemma. Essentially, we need something that can block SCOT. Keep in mind, there are a lot of other things going on when you’re fasting that override the mechanism of ketones feeding cancer membranes through SCOT. Promising natural SCOT inhibitors:

• Alpha-lipoic acid
• Garcinia
• Red algae
• Black seed oil
• Garlic

Fasting protocol for cancer prevention:

• At least 16 hours of fasting with an 8-hour eating window

• A low-carb diet Fasting protocol for cancer:

• At least 18 hours of fasting with a 6-hour eating window. 20 hours of fasting with a four-hour eating window or OMAD would be even better.

• A 48-hour fast once a week, or two days of 500 calories.

• Once a month, fast for 4 days and gradually up to 7 days if possible.

• When you eat, the main dish should be cruciferous vegetables (10 cups per day). Consume about 3 oz. of protein high in omega-3 fatty acids. Olive oil and cod liver oil are good fats to consume. Broccoli sprouts may also be beneficial.

7 Benefits Of Raw Eggs (AlternativeDaily.com)

Would it surprise you if I said that many of you have probably eaten raw eggs without even knowing it? Many common foods, including eggnog, homemade ice cream, real caesar dressing, aioli sauce, Hollandaise and chocolate mousse contain raw (or very lightly cooked) eggs. And, let’s not forget raw cookie and cake batter, which most of us have likely indulged in on more than one occasion! Despite this fact, however, many people still balk at the thought of eating raw eggs.

Can eating raw eggs cause salmonella?

The idea of eating raw eggs is scary to many people, because our fears of salmonella poisoning have been heightened by the media and concerned parents over the years. While some raw eggs are contaminated with salmonella, it’s not nearly as high of a percentage as you may think (more on that later). If you choose raw eggs from local, responsible, organic sources, your chances of getting sick are low, and you’ll be enjoying a world of important nutrients.

The following are seven benefits of eating raw eggs:

1. Raw eggs are high in protein

2. Raw eggs contain more carotenoid antioxidants

When eggs are cooked, some of their nutritional density becomes depleted. For this reason, there are many nutrients that are more abundant in raw eggs than cooked ones. One of these nutrient groups is carotenoid antioxidants. Raw eggs contain more lutein and zeaxanthin than their cooked counterparts — 30 percent more, in fact.

Carotenoids like lutein and zeaxanthin are important for combatting inflammation throughout the body, since they help to neutralize damaging oxidative processes. These nutrients are also crucial to optimal eye health and preventing age-related macular degeneration.

3. Raw eggs contain more choline

Raw eggs contain 23 percent more choline than cooked eggs. Choline is a nutrient important in cell membrane structure, and also vital for the proper function of the nervous system. Research has also identified choline as one pathway to a better preservation of memory, so it’s crucial to make sure you get enough in your diet.

4. Raw eggs contain more zinc

Raw eggs have been found to contain about 19 percent more zinc than their cooked counterparts. This mineral has many important functions, including boosting the immune system to better prevent and fight illness, as well as supporting the nervous system. A deficiency in zinc has been associated with greater levels of inflammation, which is dangerous to every system in your body.

5. You’ll get more vitamin D

Raw eggs contain about 36 percent more vitamin D than cooked eggs. While we get most of our vitamin D from the rays of the sun, supplementing with whole food sources, especially during cold winter months, can help your body to replenish what the sun may not provide. Vitamin D is important not only for bone health, but also for the health of your immune system.

6. You’ll eat more omega-3 fatty acids

When it comes to omega-3 fatty acid co
ntent, raw eggs come out above cooked eggs, with 33 percent more overall. Omega-3s are crucial to optimal heart and brain health, and most Americans do not eat enough of them. Raw eggs also contain 33 percent more docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) than cooked eggs. DHA is a type of omega-3 fatty acid that is vital to brain health, including brain development, as well as eye health.

7. Raw eggs are easy to digest

It turns out that raw eggs are easy on the digestive system, making them ideal for those with sensitive stomachs. So, if you have a tough time eating cooked eggs because of digestive difficulties, you may find that eating them raw makes for a smoother process — with more nutrients, to boot.

The risks of raw eggs

As mentioned, it is possible for raw eggs to carry salmonella, specifically Salmonella enteritidis (SE) bacteria. Other bacteria, such as Listeria and Campylobacter, can also be found in some raw eggs. However, it is estimated that only one in 20,000 to one in 30,000 eggs is actually contaminated with salmonella bacteria. Many people mistakenly assume that the odds of contracting salmonella from raw eggs are much higher than they actually are.

Many of these cases of egg contamination stem from factory farmed eggs, where hens are raised in unsanitary, unhealthy conditions. While eggs from pastured, free-range and organically raised hens can still contain salmonella, chances are lower if sanitary protocols are followed and the birds are healthy and fed their natural diet. For this reason, people who wish to eat raw eggs should stay away from the factory farmed varieties — for both health and humane reasons.

It is also important to note that you may wish to avoid raw eggs if you have a compromised immune system, as your body may be less able to ward off bacteria that may be present. If you are unsure about how raw eggs may affect a specific health condition, talk to your doctor just to be safe.

How to choose the best eggs to eat raw

There is no label that guarantees that eggs are free of bacteria, though eggs that are certified organic, especially if hen flocks are small, may be safer than others. Your best bet is to find a reputable farm (locally if possible) that has a small flock and produces certified organic eggs. Visit the farm if you can, and talk to the owners about practices such as how much space hens have, how long they spend outside and what their diet consists of.

You want eggs from healthy, happy, well-nourished hens that have enough space to peck around and eat their natural diet. It might take a bit of research, but the eggs will be worth it.

How to eat raw eggs

Before you eat an egg raw, wash the shell in warm, soapy water and rinse well. This will ensure that bacteria on the shell is destroyed. Make sure that the egg is fresh; the yolk and white should be firm, and there should be no weird odors. The white may be cloudy, and that is fine. But, if it has a pink tint, you’ll want to toss it, as it’s a sign of bacteria.

Do you eat raw eggs? What’s your favorite way to enjoy them?
