Improve the Quality of Life for Special Needs Child by Restoring their Metabolic Health Many studies have shown that a large percent of special needs children has a problem with their gut and their metabolism. One thing you can do to improve the quality of life for that child, is address his gut and metabolism. If metabolism isn’t functioning in the optimum way a person can experience a range of health issues, including:
What is Metabolism? Metabolism is the process of all cells of the body creating energy from food. What powers that metabolism? The tiny energy engines called the mitochondria that are in every cell of the body. The body cannot run without energy and the mitochondria provide that. When the body’s metabolism is disrupted, there is less cellular energy produced by the mitochondria and organ dysfunction results. Just like a car can’t run without gas, the body can’t function without cellular energy. Underlying Metabolism is the Mitochondria Mitochondria are the energy powerhouses in every cell. Mitochondrial damage disrupts normal metabolism. What Happens when Mitochondria Lose Function? Low mitochondrial energy production affects cellular function in ways that can ripple throughout the entire body. This low energy production or dysfunction is like a car running on fumes. A car can sputter along for a while but will eventually stop working all together. The relationship between mitochondrial dysfunction and physical problems becomes apparent when examining different conditions. As an example: Mitochondrial dysfunction drives autoimmune conditions. Immune cells require substantial energy for activation and rapid reproduction, and mitochondrial dysfunction compromises their ability to function effectively. This can lead to an overactive immune response, where immune cells attack the body’s own tissues, or to insufficient responses that fail to clear pathogens or debris. Because so many organs and processes of the body are dependent on this energy and the mitochondria that makes it, symptoms can impact many organ systems depending on which organ in the body is affected. Good Health Depends on Optimum Mitochondrial Function B1 and magnesium are important nutrients in energy production. Think of the mitochondria as the engine of your car, and B1 and magnesium as the spark plugs that ignite the fuel. Without these vital components, the engine simply won’t run efficiently leaving someone feeling drained and sluggish. In fact, without adequate levels of these nutrients, the entire energy production process can grind to a halt. Camel Milk Can Support Mitochondrial Health Due to the quality of food today, most people are deficient in the vitamins and minerals needed by the body for optimum mitochondrial and metabolic health. Camel milk contains high proportions of anti-bacterial and anti-viral substances, antioxidants and immune system boosters. It provides a range of vitamins and minerals, including B vitamins, Vitamin C, magnesium and zinc. Purelife Care+ Camelicious whole camel milk powder offers all the benefits of camel milk as well as the added benefit of natural ERDS™ (Enhanced Rapid Delivery System). ERDS is a powerful extract of Vitamin E, and Vitamin C and Vitamin D3 to enhance the bioavailability of the nutrients of the camel milk. PureLife Care+ Camel Milk is a natural supplement that works at the cellular level to support the gut, the mitochondria and a well-functioning metabolism. Aspartame Triggers Insulin Spikes and Inflammation in Blood Vessels Aspartame triggers unnatural insulin spikes by stimulating the vagus nerve, leading to metabolic dysfunction and increased fat storage Aspartame, a common artificial sweetener found in sugar-free sodas, protein bars and even chewing gum, is touted to be a “healthy” alternative to regular sugar, thus helping people satisfy their cravings for sweets without risking their health. While this is a popularly held belief among consumers, research shows that aspartame does the opposite — it actually endangers your health to a greater degree than sugar. Aspartame triggers unnatural insulin spikes by stimulating the vagus nerve, leading to metabolic dysfunction and increased fat storage Research shows that aspartame-driven insulin surges fuel chronic inflammation in blood vessels, accelerating the progression of atherosclerosis and heart disease Artificial sweeteners alter gut bacteria homeostasis, increasing glucose intolerance that makes blood sugar regulation more difficult over time Gut Microbiota Composition Is Altered by Artificial Sweeteners Beyond insulin, the study also found that aspartame disrupts the delicate balance of your gut bacteria, which consists of trillions of bacteria that regulate digestion, immune function and metabolism. Cutting out aspartame and other artificial sweeteners is the first step to restore insulin sensitivity and protect your cardiovascular health Natural solutions adding fermented foods to your diet help and other methods reverse the metabolic damage caused by artificial sweeteners See Article at www.Mercola.com (he doesn't have links to his pages or I would post that) Metabolic Health - Improving Metabolism
Metabolic Neuropathy (nerve damage) What is it? What can be done for relief? The term metabolic neuropathy refers to nerve disorders associated with systemic diseases of metabolic origin. Metabolism is a generic word for EVERY chemical process in your body from energy production to cellular reproduction and fighting off disease. This means that metabolically unhealthy people can have severe problems in every system of their body. If you have high blood pressure, high blood glucose, insulin resistance, high cholesterol, excess weight around the waist you have a metabolic disorder – an imbalance or deficiency – that negatively affects the way your body functions. Metabolic diseases include diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia, uremia, hypothyroidism, hepatic failure, polycythemia, amyloidosis, acromegaly, porphyria, disorders of lipid/glycolipid metabolism, nutritional/vitamin deficiencies, and mitochondrial disorders, among others. The common factor of these diseases is damage to the nerves by alteration of the structure or function of the myelin sheath and axons due to metabolic pathway dysregulation. Dysregulation is defined as: impairment of a physiological regulatory mechanism (as that governing metabolism, immune response, or organ function) Diabetes is the most common cause of metabolic neuropathy, followed by uremia. Some of these disorders also affect muscles due to the fact that the conditions damage motor nerves which send incorrect signals to the muscles. RELIEF? Treat the Neuropathy and then Support and Restore you Metabolism. Treatment for Neuropathy There are many medications, and other remedies that can bring you relief, you can read about them in this article Neuropathy Treatment RECOMMENED (Products we researched and found to do what they say they will do) Lasting Relief: None of the various neuropathy treatments will build healthy nerves. You can cover up the symptoms and you can increase circulation and you can make a person feel less pain, etc., but if you build healthy nerves, there will not be any symptoms (healthy nerves don’t hurt, tingle, burn, are not numb, etc.) and the relief will be lasting. Building Healthy Nerves Healthy sensory nerves mean that they are not painful. Healthy nerves mean that they communicate and don’t send wrong signals such as burning, hot and cold, tingling when there is no reason for it. Healthy motor nerves mean that they relay messages from the brain to the muscle so that they move correctly. Nerves need to be healthy to function properly. The body needs specific nutrients (vitamins) to be able to build healthy nerves. It may not give immediate relief (although many do feel changes in the first week) as the vitamins are working at a cellular level, but it does address the actual problem, builds healthy nerves and brings lasting relief.
