1. Support for Your Nerves
Socialize with us - Facebook Twitter(X) Support for Your Nerves There are several things that do not support the health of your nerves and may actually prevent you from being able to get your nerves back to a healthy state. Heavy drinking of coffee, tea and soft drinks (including de-caffeinated coffee, tea and soft drinks) cause the loss of both water and water-soluble B vitamins from the body. Heavy smoking or drinking of alcohol, use of antibiotics, as well as stress can all burn up B vitamins. And of course, there are many prescription medications that may have side effects that directly affect your nerves. Nerve damage or nerve pain (also known as neuropathy) is often caused by a deficiency of specific B vitamins. B vitamins are an important building block for the nerves. Fortunately, the RHP Nerve Support Products supply the precise ingredients needed to help build and maintain healthy nerves. You can order the RHP Nerve Support Formula by using this secure link: If you would like to know whether any medications you might be taking might affect your nerves. see the list
How to Help an Alcoholic Family Member When a family realizes that one of their members’ “drinking problem” is actually alcoholism, this is a big step forward in handling the situation. Perhaps a “drinking problem” is something you talk to a person about, you ask them to improve their behavior for their own good. You suggest they cut back, not go out to bars as often. Then you wait to see what happens. And hope. But alcoholism, by definition, is a very different matter. When there is no improvement over time, then family members—it could be a wife, a father, a brother or children—realize that the problem is really alcohol addiction. That is a problem that requires a deeper kind of help.
Metabolic Syndrome and Eye Health Hey, It’s Dr. Martin here… I wanted to fill you in on something powerful we’ve been talking about on our live sessions. (By the way, you can join us every Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM Eastern on Facebook Live.) Let me break that down for you. Metabolic syndrome is when your body doesn’t use energy from food properly, and it’s more common than you think. In fact, 93% of people have it! It includes things like: • High blood pressure On top of that, I’d add two more markers: High uric acid and low vitamin D. Metabolic syndrome is caused by diet. Too much sugar. Too many carbs. Tons of processed junk. And it’s at the root of so many diseases—heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, diabetes, and yes, even glaucoma. This study shows how powerful food really is. If you want to protect your eyes (and your health), the answer is simple: cut out sugar. The average person in North America eats almost 200 pounds of sugar a year. Can you believe that? Back in the 1950s, it was only 25 pounds. Now, it’s a dump truck load. No wonder so many people are sick. If you do one thing for your health today, let it be this: Reduce sugar. Your body—and your eyes—will thank you. Now… There’s a reason I talk about eye health a lot. It’s because your eyes can reveal a lot about your health. In ancient times, people called them "the windows to the soul." But today, we know they’re more than that. Your eyes are like a mirror for your metabolic health. Here’s an example: A study in the journal Neurology found that changes in the tiny blood vessels in your eyes at age 60 could warn of memory loss years later. The blood vessels in your eyes are connected to your brain’s health. If those tiny blood vessels aren’t doing well, your brain might be in trouble as well. Why? Because both your eyes and brain are packed with tiny blood vessels. If the ones in your eyes are aging too quickly, there’s a good chance the same thing is happening in your brain. So, keeping your eyes healthy isn’t just about seeing clearly—it’s about protecting your brain, too! Do you understand metabolism go to Improving Metabolism by Understanding Metabolism
Cellular Energy and its Impact on Blood Pressure The Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell where energy is created. This energy is used to drive almost every chemical reaction within our bodies (this is metabolism). Just like a car can't run without gas, your body can't run without cellular energy. The Metabolic syndrome is created when your body can't use the energy gotten from food due to the mitochondrial not functioning correctly. It’s may be more common than you think. It includes things like: •High blood pressure •Elevated blood sugar •Belly fat (over 40 inches for men, 35 for women) •High triglycerides •Low HDL cholesterol Mitochondrial damage disrupts this normal metabolism. The benefits of supporting mitochondrial function are far-reaching given the many organ systems that are impacted by cellular energy production. These energy deficits will negatively impact the body. This dysfunction is linked to numerous diseases and symptoms – one of them is cardiovascular disease and high blood pressure. The metabolic syndrome is a group of health problems that puts you at higher risk for diseases of the heart and blood vessels. There isn't one single cause of high blood pressure. Being overweight a metabolic syndrome problem is one cause of this. Another part of the metabolic syndrome is insulin resistance that is also linked to high blood pressure. They often coexist because insulin resistance is a condition in which the body isn't able to effectively use insulin to transfer glucose (sugar) from the blood into the cells and the mitochondria so it can be used for energy. The mitochondria are not getting the glucose to create its energy. Cardiovascular disease has strong ties to mitochondrial dysfunction with heart muscle cells has a higher density of mitochondria than any other tissue. When the mitochondria function declines, the heart loses its ability to pump efficiently. Thus one reason that high blood pressure condition is present in the metabolic syndrome. Your body systems work together and one impaired organ will affect the rest through cause-and-effect relationships. Insulin resistance is when the cells are resistant to allowing glucose to enter the cell. This leads to hypertension through the loss of the effect of insulin on vascular dilation and of vascular constriction. By prioritizing cellular energy, you build the foundation for health. Metabolic syndrome worsens when it is left untreated, and the complications can cause a serious decline in your health. Extra Help for your Metabolism and Mitochondria There is a special supplement that can help support your metabolism, the mitochondria and overall health. Due to the quality of food today, most people are deficient in the vitamins and minerals needed for optimal health. Read more about it at: Purelife Care+ with ERDS (Enhanced Rapid Delivery System
