Getting Your Omega-3 to Omega-6 Ratio Right Is Essential by Dr. Mercola While omega-3s have an anti-inflammatory effect, the omega-6 found in seed oils tends to be pro-inflammatory. Maintaining a healthy 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 is important, as chronic low-grade inflammation is a hallmark of most chronic diseases, including obesity, diabetes and heart disease Omega-3 fats are essential polyunsaturated fats your body needs for a wide variety of functions, including proper cell division and function of cell receptors, muscle activity, cognition and heart health. Improve Your Health Without Drugs People today are being put on drugs to handle neuropathy, diabetes, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, and high cholesterol and many other health conditions. Are drugs the answer to these health challenges or do they just make things worse? "A type of therapy used by the majority of physicians in our country for the past fifty years is the administration of drugs at sublethal levels [sublethal: not quite enough to cause death]. Drugs of course, are alien chemicals that are not normally present in the cellular environment of the human body. They radically alter man’s internal environment and often create very severe and dangerous side effects." See our Site Index for alternatives supplements to help you build health.

The Basis of Disease: Louis Pasteur vs. Antoine Bechamp: Know the True Causes of Disease Mainstream medicine believes that virtually all illness is caused by germs or genetic hereditary weakness, as well as deformities and trauma injuries. Their solution and strategy is to have us believe that there are over 10,000 different diseases and that each of these diseases requires outside intervention from drugs and surgery. The truth is that most illness is due to cellular malfunction caused by cellular toxicities and cellular malnutrition, both of which can be avoided and overcome naturally. How to Make Nutritious, Natural Infant Formula at Home From time to time in recent years there has been a shortage of infant formula in the US. The good news is there are natural homemade infant formulas you can use to provide your child with excellent nutrition. With a homemade formula you won't ever need to worry about not having formula on hand to feed your child. One natural homemade formula is provided by the Weston A. Price Foundation. Weston A. Price (September 6, 1870 – January 23, 1948) was a Canadian dentist known primarily for his theories on the relationship between nutrition, dental health, and physical health. The Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) aims to provide accurate information on nutrition and health, always aiming to provide the scientific validation of traditional food ways. You can find more information about the foundation here. Weston A. Price Homemade Baby Formula Recipe Note: Here's a suggestion; replace the 2 cups of cow's milk with 2 cups of camel milk. Ingredients: - 2 cups whole raw cow’s milk, preferably from pasture-fed cows - 1/4 cup homemade liquid whey (See recipe for whey on the Weston A. Price page, link below) Note: Do NOT use powdered whey or whey from making cheese (which will cause the formula to curdle). Use only homemade whey made from yoghurt, kefir or separated raw milk - 4 tablespoons lactose - 1/4 teaspoon bifidobacterium infantis - 2 or more tablespoons good quality cream (preferably not ultrapasteurized), more if you are using milk from Holstein cows - 1/2 teaspoon unflavored high-vitamin or high-vitamin fermented cod liver oil or 1 teaspoon regular cod liver oil - 1/4 teaspoon high-vitamin butter oil (optional) - 1 teaspoon expeller-expressed sunflower oil - 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil - 2 teaspoons coconut oil - 2 teaspoons Frontier brand nutritional yeast flakes - 2 teaspoons gelatin - 1-7/8 cups filtered water - 1/4 teaspoon acerola powder Instructions - Put 2 cups filtered water into a pyrex measuring pitcher and remove 2 tablespoons (that will give you 1-7/8 cups water). - Pour about half of the water into a pan and place on a medium flame. - Add the gelatin and lactose to the pan and let dissolve, stirring occasionally. - When the gelatin and lactose are dissolved, remove from heat and add the remaining water to cool the mixture. - Stir in the coconut oil and optional high-vitamin butter oil and stir until melted. - Meanwhile, place remaining ingredients into a blender. - Add the water mixture and blend about three seconds. - Place in glass bottles or a glass jar and refrigerate. - Before giving to baby, warm bottles by placing in hot water or a bottle warmer. NEVER warm bottles in a microwave oven. You can find more information about the Weston A. Price homemade baby formula here, including where to source the ingredients and how to make liquid whey. Jill Zavada is a Holistic Health and Wellness Coach. Here's her story about using this homemade formula to feed her own baby using Camelicious camel milk powder. We hope this information helps some Moms and Dads who are trying to work out how to provide their children with good nutrition. PLEASE NOTE: Camelicious camel milk powder by itself does not provide enough comprehensive nutrition for an infant under 12 months. It must be used with a formula that provides all the nutrition an infant under 12 months needs. We suggest you consult your child's pediatrician before making any major changes to your child's diet. Please go to the Weston A. Price Homemade Baby Formula page to see where to source the ingredients. Want to know more about Camel Milk
